How to Get the Focus Stone in Troll Canyon
Step 1: Reach Troll Canyon from Old Camp
From the north gate of the Old Camp, follow the road north across the bridge.
When the road turns west, keep going straight up the mountain toward Troll Canyon (not left into the forest toward the Old Mine). The path is full of Snappers.
Step 2: Meet Milten and Follow Him
You’ll find Milten waiting at Troll Canyon. Talk to him, and when you confirm you’re ready, he’ll sprint up the steps. Goblin Warriors block your path—small but pack a punch. With Milten assisting, the three goblins are no problem.
Thief Tip: Let the goblins knock Milten down once, then steal his Fire Mages Chambers Key from his inventory. Do not take the Fireball Rune—he’ll be useless in battle if you do.
Step 3: Enter the Cave and Get Troll Hides
A full-grown Troll blocks the path. Milten flees right into a cave—follow him. Inside, he explains he can craft a Shrink Monster scroll but needs 3 troll hides.

You may already have 1 hide from the “Focus in the Monastery Ruins” quest (if you skinned the troll there)

The other 2 hides are across from the cave, where the troll was standing
Easiest method: Lure the goblins away, deal with them, then lure the troll to the cave entrance. The troll is very slow—you can quickly run to its hoard and collect all 3 troll pelts.
Step 4: Craft and Use the Shrink Monster Scroll
Give Milten the 3 troll skins. He goes to the writing desk, creates the Shrink Monster scroll, and hands it to you.
Equip the scroll and return to the troll. Use it to shrink the beast—the battle becomes ridiculously easy. You’ll earn +2000 XP and another troll pelt.
Step 5: Open the Blocked Gate
After defeating the troll, Milten heads toward the locked gate. Follow him and work the two levers together with Milten to open the route.
Step 6: Find the Telekinesis Scroll/Rune
Inside the great hall, head straight ahead to find a chest brimming with treasures.
It contains:

Step 7: Fight the Harpies and Reach the Focus Stone
Go upstairs to the upper temple section. 2 harpies wait inside, and 2 more ambush you when you step outside—watch out.
You’ll find the Focus Stone across a gap on a platform. You cannot reach it by normal means:

Approach the edge of the platform.

Aim Telekinesis at the glowing purple ore crystal beside the platform.

Pull the crystal until a bridge forms across the gap.

Equip your best mana rings/artifacts to successfully drag the ore (you need decent mana).

Cross the bridge and grab the Focus Stone.
Mana Tip: If Telekinesis isn’t working well, equip the best mana rings and artifacts you have to increase your mana pool for pulling the ore.
Step 8: Complete the Quest
Talk to Milten, then teleport back to Saturas at the New Camp. Hand over the Focus Stone to complete the quest and earn +3500 XP.
Critical Mistakes to Avoid

Don’t take the Fireball Rune from Milten—he’ll be useless in combat afterward.

Don’t fight the Troll head-on—it’s too strong; you must use the Shrink Monster scroll.

Don’t skip collecting troll hides—you need exactly 3 for the scroll.

Don’t forget to prepare mana—Telekinesis requires decent mana to pull the ore across the gap.

Don’t ignore the Harpy ambush—4 harpies total (2 inside + 2 outside) will attack you.

Bonus: If you already have a Telekinesis scroll from elsewhere, you can skip the chest—but you’ll miss the other valuable items.
You now have the Focus Stone from Troll Canyon! This is one of the four focus stones needed for Saturas’ main storyline quest.
