- You can collect all six in a single run if the distortion is active.
After the introduction of the Dreaming City case file collectibles, Guardians can hunt down six scattered Case Files to complete the Dreaming City Case File Collector triumph in Destiny 2’s Monument of Triumph. Before searching, check the Dreaming City map and confirm the area is currently distorted or corrupted. If the corruption event is inactive, none of the Case Files will spawn.

All six Case Files can be collected by starting in Divalian Mists, moving through the nearby hidden cave and bridge section, then traveling to The Strand for the final two collectibles. Following this route minimizes backtracking and allows you to complete the triumph efficiently in a single trip.
How to collect Case File #1 in Divalian Mists
Fast travel to Divalian Mists. As soon as you spawn, turn around and look behind your landing position. Pick up the first Case File located near the spawn area.
From the first collectible, head toward the nearby cliffside. Look for a hidden opening beneath the cliff. Drop down into the secret cave.
Collect the second Case File inside the cave.
How to collect Case File #3 under the bridge
Continue through the cave exit. Follow the route toward the large bridge ahead. Move underneath the bridge structure. The third Case File can be found directly beneath the bridge.
How to collect Case File #4 along the side pathway
Leave the bridge area and continue forward. Take the left-hand pathway when it becomes available.
Follow the path until you reach the collectible location. Pick up the fourth Case File.
How to collect Case File #5
Return toward Divalian Mists if needed. Travel right from Divalian Mists to enter The Strand. Locate the large rock formations on the left side of the area.
Climb the giant rocks. Collect the fifth Case File at the top.
How to collect Case File #6
Remain in the same section of The Strand. Continue farther along the path beyond the previous collectible. Search the back portion of the area.
Collect the final Case File to finish the set.

Completing the Dreaming City Case File Collector triumph
Once you’ve collected all six Case Files during an active Dreaming City distortion, the Dreaming City Case File Collector triumph should complete immediately. The most important requirement is ensuring the Dreaming City is currently corrupted or distorted before beginning the hunt, as the collectibles will not appear otherwise.
