To get the brown tiger permanent mount in Crimson Desert, you must first locate and isolate the tiger in the Rainforest, then stun, ride, and feed it until its trust reaches 100. Once captured, the brown tiger becomes a permanent entry in your special mounts menu and can be summoned anytime from the mount radial.

How to get the brown tiger permanent mount

Step 1: Stock up on meat before heading out

Before leaving town, head to the butcher in Hernand and buy at least 3 stacks of raw meat (tough or lean meat). This is a hard requirement for taming the brown tiger, as you must repeatedly feed it while mounted. If you run out of meat mid‑tame, you lose progress and may not get another chance on the same tiger.

Step 2: Travel to the brown tiger spawn area

Fast‑travel or ride toward the peninsula south of the Crimson Desert, southwest of Red River, then push north past Delesyia into the Rainforest / Serpenthead Valley region.

The brown tiger cluster spawns just north of Beardtree Gorge, slightly above Giant’s Yard Watchtower, near a small lake or rocky water pool.

The area is dense with jungle vegetation and other hostile creatures, so keep your health and buffs ready.

Step 3: Clear the white tiger and isolate one brown tiger

At the spawn point you will find a group of brown tigers plus one Legendary white tiger. The tigers only remain active while the white tiger is alive, so handle the situation carefully if you previously killed the boss.

  • Start by killing the Legendary white tiger to remove the main threat.

  • After that, defeat all brown tigers except one, leaving a single, weakened brown tiger to tame.

  • If the area is too hot, you can climb Giant’s Yard Watchtower and use ranged attacks to thin the brown tiger pack before closing in.

Step 4: Stun your target brown tiger

Pick the remaining brown tiger and deal moderate damage to bring it down without killing it.

As its health drops into the stun range, a “ride” prompt will appear over the tiger.

Use skills that deal low‑to‑moderate damage, such as Force Palm, to increase your chances of entering the stunned state cleanly instead of over‑killing the tiger.

Step 5: Mount the brown tiger and start feeding

Once the “ride” prompt appears, press the mount button to climb onto the brown tiger.

After mounting:

  • Open your inventory, select raw meat, and choose “feed” (hold the use button and scroll down, or press the context option).

  • Repeat this several times until the brown tiger’s trust meter fills to 100; feeding roughly 3 times is usually enough.

Keep moving or dodging mid‑feed if other enemies arrive, as the taming process does not pause during combat.

Step 6: Claim the brown tiger as a permanent mount

Once trust reaches 100, press Y on Xbox or triangle on PlayStation to “take in” the brown tiger. The game will register it into your special mounts menu, where you can summon it instantly from the radial mount button (default H key). From this point forward, the brown tiger behaves like a regular mount, complete with unique combat‑companion behavior when you dismount in battle.

Why it’s called the brown tiger

Right now, the tiger only appears in its standard orange‑brown, striped coloration, with no separate cosmetic skin or dye labeled specifically as “brown tiger.” When players refer to the brown tiger permanent mount, they are simply describing this default tiger model. If future updates add color variants, the brown tone will likely show up as a selectable skin in the special mounts menu, but that system is not active yet.

Critical mistakes to avoid

  • Killing all brown tigers before isolating one: If you wipe the entire pack, some setups may prevent further spawns until a patch or reset, forcing you to reload a pre‑fight save.

  • Running out of meat mid‑tame: Dismounting with a low trust bar resets progress, and certain setups only allow one attempt per brown tiger.

  • Ignoring the 100‑trust requirement: The game will not let you “take in” the brown tiger until its trust is full; you cannot skip the feed loop or finish the taming by simply stunning and dismounting.

With the brown tiger under your control, you’ve added one of Crimson Desert’s most aggressive and stylish creature mounts to your lineup. Use it to tear through the Rainforest, Serpenthead Valley, and beyond, then pair it with a strong build to make every open‑world fight feel like a high‑speed jungle charge.
