What to know
-
The blueprint is located inside an abandoned base near a tower approximately 1,300 m east of your lifepod.
-
Approach the tower for a good vantage and locate the ruined section of the structure to enter.
-
Enter the interior, move through the rooms and you will encounter the Modification Station fragment to scan.
-
You only need to find and scan one instance of the station to unlock the blueprint.
In Subnautica 2, the Modification Station blueprint is obtainable by physically locating and scanning a single intact station fragment inside an abandoned base structure. Here’s the direct route to the blueprint location and a concise in-base procedure to scan it and unlock the crafting recipe.
Modification Station Blueprint locations
Head roughly 1,300 meters east of your lifepod until you see a prominent tower; this tower is the reference landmark that marks the nearby abandoned base housing the blueprint.

Use the tower as your approach point and swim or pilot toward the ruined section you can see from that vantage.
How to enter the abandoned base and locate the station
Step 1
Swim or pilot to the base and move toward the ruined section visible from the tower vantage point.

Step 2
Enter the base through the accessible opening in the ruined structure and proceed into the interior rooms.

Step 3
Scan around interior walls and common module locations until you spot the Modification Station.

Step 4
Target the station and perform a scan to immediately unlock the Modification Station blueprint. One successful scan is sufficient.

-
Using a vehicle to cover the 1,300 m approach will save time; exit near the tower and continue on foot or by swimming into the ruin.
-
Once inside, scanning the first Modification Station you find will grant the blueprint—no need to search multiple wrecks.
