What to know
-
You must land a shot that kills five enemies simultaneously from at least 20 meters away.
-
Using a charged‑damage bow and a flame‑infused glove ability (Volcanic Eruption) makes grouping kills much easier.
-
Enemy forts in Hernand with weak, clustered foes are ideal locations to set this up.
-
Save your game before starting, then reload on failure so you can keep re‑using the same setup.
In the challenge Bow Aimed at Fate V, you have to defeat five enemies at once from over 20 meters away with a bow. It is one of Crimson Desert’s stricter archery challenges, but it is very manageable with the right gear, positioning, and a bit of patience.

Bow Aimed at Fate V Locations
To activate this challenge, you’ll have to go to the location marked below.

Here’s a blown up version so you can easily find the crossroads.

Interact with the item near the rocks to activate it.

To execute this challenge you do not need any one “exact” map marker; any camp or fort where you can stand at least 20 meters away from a tightly packed group of enemies will work. The Hernand region is ideal because many forts there have weak foes clustered together, and there are plenty of towers and hills you can use as elevated firing positions.

You can also try forts in North Hernand or even forts in Demeniss if you are comfortable with stronger enemies, but Hernand’s camps make the 20‑meter rule easier to satisfy because you can pick a tower or ridge that keeps you safely out of melee range while still giving you a clear line of sight.

Before you enter a fort, make sure you save your game so you can reload and retry the same setup without hunting for new enemies.
Required abilities and gear
Several mechanical pieces must be in place before this challenge becomes realistic:
-
Charged Shot skill on the bow – This lets you fire a stronger, more damaging shot that can stagger or kill multiple targets, especially when combined with elemental effects.

-
Fire element imbue – You need the fire option in your spirit‑toggle wheel so you can apply flame to your bow attacks.

-
Scorch Flame Gloves (with Volcanic Eruption) – These gloves trigger a cone‑like explosion of flame when you fire, which can hit several enemies around a central impact point.
-
A fully upgraded bow – A higher‑attack bow dramatically increases the chance that a single charged shot will actually kill five foes instead of just staggering them.

-
Optional: Explosive arrows – These add extra area damage and can lower the difficulty, but are not mandatory; you can complete the challenge without them.

When you’re ready, equip the Scorch Flame Gloves, toggle the fire element on (using the D‑pad in‑game), and make sure your spirit bar is topped up so the Volcanic Eruption effect can fire reliably.
How to position yourself in the fort
The core trick is staying far enough away while still hitting a dense group:
-
Approach a Hernand fort from an elevated side (cliff, tower, nearby hill) so you can avoid aggroing the entire base.
-
Climb onto a tower or wall that gives you a direct line of sight over a cluster of enemies, such as those gathered in the middle or near a campfire.
-
Use the map or your own markings to confirm you are at least 20 meters away; if you get too close, the game will not register it as satisfying the distance condition.

-
Save your game once you are in position, then reload if a run fails so you can repeat the same setup without re‑traversing.
Aim at a moment when several enemies are standing shoulder‑to‑shoulder, ideally unaware of your presence, so they won’t start moving or scattering before you fire.
How to fire the killing shot
Once you are in position, you need to land a sequence of shots that finally brings down five enemies at once:
Step 1: Prepare your bow and spirit
-
Equip a fully upgraded bow and make sure Charged Shot is active in your skill setup.
-
Equip the Scorch Flame Gloves and use the D‑pad to select fire so your spirit bar turns red.

-
If your spirit is low, enter a slow‑time or focus mode to let it regenerate, then step back to your firing spot ready to aim.
Step 2: First charged shot at the group
-
Use lock‑on or aim toward the center of a cluster of five or more enemies.
-
Hold Charged Shot to fire a powerful arrow; the Volcanic Eruption effect will spread flame around the impact point.
-
Even if this doesn’t kill all five, it should stagger or severely damage several, leaving them in place for a follow‑up.

Step 3: Second charged shot while they rise
-
As the enemies recover or start getting back up, they usually stay grouped for a second or two.
-
Immediately fire a second Charged Shot aimed into the same cluster; the combined stagger and damage often cause several of them to drop at once.
-
Focus on the area where the most enemies are still standing so the explosion effect can chain between them.

Step 4: Use explosive arrows if you have them
-
If you bought explosive arrows, slot them in place of normal arrows.
-
Fire either one or two charged explosive shots at the same clustered group; the extra blast radius can help ensure five fall at once even if individual foes are slightly tougher.

Step 5: Reload on failure and adjust
-
If the game does not register the challenge after you fire, that run did not count.
-
Reload your recent save and try again from the same tower or hill, keeping the same enemy group in view.
-
If you keep failing, double‑check your bow’s attack level and upgrade it further if possible, then re‑attempt.

Because the game can be slightly finicky about when it counts kills “at once,” treat this as a mechanical mini‑loop: position, charge, fire, fail, reload, and repeat until the system registers the five‑down condition.
Bow Aimed at Fate V Rewards
Completing this Abyss challenge normally pays a small but meaningful reward package:

These items help both for remaining archery challenges and for general overworld hunting or fort‑clearing, so the grind to five‑at‑once really does pay off.
Once you have the right skills, a damage‑boosted bow, and a good Hernand fort picked out, this challenge becomes more about timing and repetition than strict precision. The key is staying at least 20 meters away, using charged shots with Volcanic Eruption (and optionally explosive arrows), and firing into dense clusters as they recover from your first hit.
