Neverness to Everness offers deep post-launch content, including varied spinoff quests that unlock new Anomaly challenges. One of the most important early-to-mid-game missions is the Where Words Sprout, Fall Unfolds spinoff.
Completing this quest sequence opens access to the Poisonous Courtyard challenge, an area required for farming unique materials.
Unlocking the Spinoff Quest
To begin the required questline, travel to the Bridge Crossings area of Hethereau.
You can use the Hankaku Street telephone booth to fast travel near the commission allocation point.
Upon arriving, you will need to find the designated NPC, Eibon, and speak to him to accept the commission.
This initial phase serves as a narrative introduction to the area. Ensure your Hunter level is sufficiently high to undertake the task.
You may need to clear other prerequisite milestones, such as activating multiple phone booths or reaching higher appraisal levels. Check your progress and track the quest using your in-game interface.
After accepting the quest, the marker will direct you to a specific building where Eibon resides. Follow the route through the urban blocks of Hethereau. Interacting with Eibon will update the task, eventually leading to a character sequence with Adler.
After concluding the dialogue, you will receive confirmation that the episode phase is unlocked.
Accessing the Poisonous Courtyard
Once the main quest is resolved, open your exploration guide and navigate to the Anomaly Hunt section. Here, you will see several locked challenges listed under the Anomaly Pilgrimage tab. Scroll down to find the Poisonous Courtyard entry, which will now be available for interaction.
The Anomaly within this courtyard is tied to Serenetti. To challenge Serenetti, you will need to spend a specific amount of reward tokens per run.
The courtyard itself takes place in a greenhouse-like environment where players must defeat the anomaly entity while avoiding environmental effects. Successfully completing this encounter yields rare loot necessary for high-tier upgrades.
By tackling the relevant spinoff quest in Hethereau and progressing through the storyline, you open up essential Anomaly Pilgrimage activities required for end-game preparation.
