What to know

  • Il Toro receives major nerfs to damage, fire rate, and reload
  • New cosmetics include Rawhide Outfit and two hairstyles
  • Energy Clips profitability reduced significantly
  • Multiple bug fixes improve map collision and audio stability

The latest ARC Raiders 1.20.0 update is now live across all platforms, and you should restart your game to download it. This patch focuses on gameplay balance, especially targeting one of the most discussed weapons, while also adding small cosmetic updates and fixing persistent issues.

You will notice immediately that the update introduces a Rawhide Outfit along with two new haircuts, offering minor customization options without affecting gameplay.

The most impactful change comes from the rebalancing of the Il Toro weapon. The developers have responded directly to community feedback by reducing its overall effectiveness, particularly at range. You now need to rely more on positioning, timing, and upgrades rather than raw power.

The adjustments significantly reduce its baseline performance. Pellet damage drops from 7.5 to 7, while fire rate is lowered from 43 to 38. At the same time, dispersion increases, making shots less consistent at distance. Reloading is also slower, with total reload time increasing from 4.3 seconds to 5.7 seconds, alongside longer looping reload timings. Damage falloff has been increased from 40% to 50%, which further limits its effectiveness in ranged encounters.

These changes make the weapon feel more aligned with its intended rarity. You will now find that it performs better when upgraded or modded, rather than being overly strong in its base state.

The update also adjusts the in-game economy. Energy Clips, which had become an unexpectedly profitable crafting item, now sell for 200 coins instead of 1000. This brings their value closer to other crafts and prevents easy currency farming.

On the technical side, several issues have been resolved. Persistent audio bugs tied to destroyed Comets and Fireballs have been fixed. You should also experience fewer instances of getting stuck in unintended areas, including collision fixes near the Dam Controlled Access Zone and Spaceport. Missing collision zones around elevators and pipes have also been addressed.

Overall, this update is a balance-focused patch rather than a content-heavy one. You will feel its impact most in combat pacing and weapon handling, especially if you relied on Il Toro.

Raiders!

Patch 1.20.0 is rolling out on all platforms, please restart your game to download.

  • Rawhide Outfit.
  • Two new uts.
  • Il Toro Balancing:
    • Dev Note: This is an adjustment many of you requested. We have tuned the Il Toro to address its DPS and effectiveness at range, especially when combined with a choke. We’re also making some changes so it performs more like a weapon of its rarity (less versatile at lower upgrade levels and more dependent on upgrades and mods). Most notably, fire-rate and reload time have been reduced, which will make it more important to fully utilize positioning, cover, and timing to defeat your opponents. We will of course continue to keep a close eye on this to see how it plays out in practice, and make additional adjustments when needed. Thank you for your feedback and patience!

    • Base Dispersion increased from 4.5 to 6
    • Total Reload Time increased from 4.3s to 5.7s
      • Looping Reload Entry increased from 0.8s to 1s
      • Looping Reload Time increased from 0.5s to 0.7s
    • Damage loss from Falloff increased from 40% to 50%

  • Reduced Energy Clips sell price from 1000 to 200 coins.
    • Dev note: Energy Clips have unintentionally become a very profitable craft, so we are reducing the sell price to make the value profitability in line with other crafts.

See you topside,

Ossen
