In the early stages of Terraria, mobility is your best line of defense. While most wings are locked behind the wall of Hardmode, Fledgling Wings are a rare exception that can be obtained the moment you start a new world. They provide basic flight and immunity to fall damage, which is a literal lifesaver when exploring deep caves or high mountains. Here’s how you can get Fledgling Wings fast.
How to get Fledgling Wings quickly
Step 1: World Generation
To ensure the wings are exactly where they should be, you must use a specific seed. Create a new world and enter the following seed number: 3.4.1.0.1245771152.
You can set the world size to large and the difficulty to classic, as these settings generally do not interfere with the primary loot generation for this specific location.
Step 2: Locate the Desert Oasis
Once you spawn into the world, immediately begin traveling to the right (east). You will move through a forest biome first.
Continue moving until the background change to the desert. Look specifically for an oasis—a small pool of water with palm trees. This landmark serves as your vertical waypoint.
Step 3: The Ascent
The Sky Island is located directly above the left side of the desert oasis. To reach it, you have a few options:

Building: Use dirt or stone blocks to create a vertical pillar or “sky bridge.”

Ropes: If you have found enough rope in chests, this is a fast way to climb.

Gravitation Potion: If you are lucky enough to have one, simply flip gravity to reach the island in seconds.
Step 4: Claim Your Reward
Once you reach the clouds, you will see a large Sky Island structure.
Enter the building and locate the Skyware Chest.
Inside, you will find the Fledgling Wings.
In this version of the world, they may even come with a helpful modifier like “Violent” to boost your movement speed.
Securing Fledgling Wings early changes the entire pace of your playthrough. With fall damage no longer a threat, you can explore the world with much greater confidence and speed.
