We’re hearing whispers about Huawei planning to stage MWC for the announcement of a compact version of its current flagship, Mate 7. The smaller version could be called Mate 7 Mini, or simply Mate 7 Compact if Huawei thinks like Sony, and apparently, the most obvious change between the two will the screen size. While Mate 7 features a 6″ display, the Mate 7 Mini is expected to feature 5.5″ display.
Specs-wise, even though we couldn’t find any solid rumors to cling on to, we think Huawei will not discriminate with mate 7 Mini and would give it same internals found on Mate 7, especially the HiSilicon Kirin 925 octa-core processor, and 2GB/16GB and  3GB/32GB options for RAM/internal storage.
Same goes for the Full HD resolution, which would be quite better for a 5.5″ display. We also hope Mate 7 Mini nets in the same 13MP camera we find on its bigger bro.
Another Huawei device that’s coming soon is Ascend P8, which would feature 5″ display according to rumors. With this, Huawei will have compelling offerings in most popular screen sizes of 5, 5.5 and 6 inches. Sounds good, right? Only if Huawei could launch these devices globally.
