The 32GB variant of the Nexus 7 was spotted in a Carphone Warehouse database yesterday, which would be a much needed variant as the current 8 or 16GB variants of the device don’t really cut it for some people. Today, one of Droid Life’s readers stumbled upon the 32GB Nexus 7 in the purchasing system of a certain reseller, further indicating that Google indeed has the device under making.

The price of the 32GB Nexus 7 is listed as $259.92 in the purchasing system, but that shouldn’t be taken to mean anything as even the 8GB variant is listed as costing $244.68, almost $50 more than its actual price. Also, the 16GB variant is listed at a higher price than the 32GB variant, so the pricing mentioned should not be taken seriously at all.

According to Droid Life’s source, the reseller is expected to receive shipments of the 32GB Nexus 7 some time around October 24 and that it is a special model, which could mean a limited edition in layman terms and would also mean that people would have to hurry to get their hands on the 32GB model before stock runs out.

A 32GB variant of the Nexus 7 can certainly boost sales of the affordable Android 4.1 tablet quite a bit, as people put off by the current limited storage models would probably change their mind and buy the 32GB model instantly. I am going to visit my local altar and pray that the higher storage model does indeed come to pass. You’re welcome to come along.
