The elusive 32 GB variant of the Nexus 7 has surfaced again, this time in Spain. Spanish online retailer Phone House, which is basically what CarPhone WareHouse is called outside the UK, has just listed a Nexus 7 32GB and it is priced at 279 euro ($360).
Interestingly, a leaked image of a pricing tag from a UK based retailer showed that the Nexus 7 32 GB version would cost £199.99 in the UK, which is the same as the 16GB variant. Going by that, the Spanish pricing seems to be higher by around 30 euros. The Nexus 7 16 GB currently sells for 249 euros in Spain, so unlike in the UK, it seems that getting a Nexus 7 with double storage capacity is going to cost you an extra 30 euro.
Come to think of it, it’s not an unreasonable price, but what seems unreasonable is the inconsistency in the pricing strategy from within the same general region (EU). Anyways, we are sure Google has it all figured out, and 30 euros or not, there are still going to be a hell of a lot of folks willing to pick one up before holiday shopping frenzy wipes it off the shelves.
