Micromax’s Yu Yuphoria runs on Cyanogen OS out of the box, and we actually believed that as a plus for quicker updates to the latest and greatest from Android.

However, as it turns out, Cyanogen is just as slow as other manufacturers when it comes to pushing out the freshest Android releases. It has been well over 45 days since Google released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and yet there’s no Cyanogen OS powered device on the market that is running the latest update officially.

Plus, neither Cyanogen nor Yu Televentures has yet provided their Marshmallow update roadmap. This is really not cool, specially from team Cyanogen who are also the maintainers of world’s most famous custom ROM for Android — CyanogenMod.

If you happen to own a Yu Yuphoria, then luckily for you an unofficial build of CM13 is now avialable for your device. CM13 is the Marshmallow edition of CyanogenMod ROM, for which the source code has been released by team Cyanogen.

This Yu Yuphoria CM13 build is in development stage at this moment and has certain bugs/issues that you might not find suitable for your daily usage. But we’re hopeful that the developer should soon be able to iron out the broken stuff.

Below are the known issues/bugs on this Yuphoria CM13 ROM:

  • Data connection
  • Audio
