Races act as your character’s innate genetic perks, offering boosts to stats like speed, health, stamina, mining efficiency, combat damage, and even unique abilities such as burn chances or dodge effects. Every race belongs to a rarity tier - from Common to Mythical, and rarer races come with stronger perks but lower roll chances. If you don’t like your starting race, you can change it later by using Reroll Spins.

Early in the game, the easiest way to reroll is by speaking with Sensei Moro, an NPC found in the starter area who provides access to the Race Reroll menu.

How to change your Race in The Forge

From the starting village, look for Sensei Moro near the training grounds and approach him to interact using E.

Once the menu opens, select the Reroll Race option. You can then spend any Reroll Spins you’ve earned through progression or redeemed from codes to roll for a new race. After spinning, simply accept the race you receive, or roll again if you still have extra spins available.
