What to know
- Gauntlet mode features four rounds with eight squads competing in each match.
- Each round has a unique mission objective such as decryption, extraction, or territory control.
- Points are earned through completing objectives, kills, revives, and extra points in the final minute.
- After each round, the two lowest scoring squads are eliminated until only two remain for the final showdown.
Gauntlet mode introduces a knockout-style, tournament-like format to Battlefield 6 Redsec. Unlike the traditional battle royale gameplay that focuses on surviving until last, Gauntlet requires squads to complete randomized objectives to gain points. Each match consists of four rounds, starting with eight squads that progressively get eliminated based on scoring.

How the rounds and missions work

Matches start with eight squads on a smaller portion of the battle royale map.

Each round lasts around 10 minutes, featuring a different mission type randomly drawn from a pool.

After the end of each round, the two squads with the lowest points drop out.

Points come from kills, revives, completing mission objectives, with all points doubled in the last minute of each round.

The final round is a head-to-head between the remaining two squads to determine the winner.

Types of missions within Gauntlet
Some key missions squads face include:
Decryption

In decryption mission, your objective is to locate and hold beacons while the data transfers.
Wreckage

Wreckage missions task the player with collecting and securing bombs, then planting them on enemy M-COM sites.
Vendetta

In this mission, you have to eliminate high value enemy targets to earn points.
Caution is advised as you can also be identified as your squad's high value target! Points are also awarded for every 5 seconds of surviving while being a target.
Heist

The objectives of heist missions are pretty straightforward. Players need to steal and capture enemy data caches. After securing, the cache needs to be brought back to the home base safely.
Enemies can also steal your squad' cache, ensuring tense and intense firefights in this mission.
Scoring system
In gauntlet mode, points are the most crucial parameter for advancing through the 4 rounds and winning the entire match.
Here's how points are awarded in gauntlet:
Each kill and revive grants points to the squad.

Completing the mission objectives grants additional points.

Points earned in the last minute of rounds are doubled to keep the action intense.

Tips for gauntlet mode
Focus on the objective-first mindset: guards, bombs, and terminals often yield more points than chasing kills.

Coordinate your class roles so you cover mobility (Assault), tech (Engineer), squad support (Support) and intel/long-range (Recon).
Keep an eye on the rules briefing each round — shift your strategy accordingly.
If you’re looking for a fresh take on squad competition in Battlefield 6, Gauntlet offers one of the most interesting shifts in the experience. It’s fast-paced, tactical and built around eliminating teams through teamwork rather than survival.
