How to unlock Covert Commissions

To unlock Covert Commissions, you need to progress through the main story and side quests until you reach and complete “Go, Geniemons!”

Afterward, the Covert tab appears in the Combat menu and the Covert Commissions shop becomes available.

How Covert Commissions work

Select a Secret Letter before starting a mission; each letter corresponds to a character, weapon, or Demon Wedge.

Complete the mission, then choose one reward from three options specific to that Secret Letter's reward pool.

Missions rotate their objectives every hour but always reward based on the selected Secret Letter. There is no stamina or currency cost, so you can repeat runs as often as you like.

How to get Secret Letters

You obtain Secret Letters by exchanging Secret Letter Clues earned through:

  • Daily quests and commissions.
  • Clearing levels such as Nocturnal Echoes and Mystic Maze.
  • Rewards from various quests and achievements.
  • Demon Wedge Caskets and trial ranks.

Ten Secret Letter Clues are needed to exchange for one Secret Letter, which you then slot in Covert Commissions to hunt specific rewards.

This system lets you farm characters, weapons, and Demon Wedges without relying on randomness or gacha mechanics. You always work toward a clear goal—such as gathering Thoughts to unlock a character or blueprints for gear—making progression predictable and time-based.
