If you’ve played the original MapleStory or enjoyed the mobile version of MapleStory M, there’s now an official Steam version in the works. The demo is already up on Steam as part of Steam Next Fest, and Nexon has announced that the full game will launch there on March 18, 2026.
You can wishlist the game on Steam ahead of its release, download the demo build now to begin playing on PC, and your progress will transfer into the full version when it arrives.
Unlike the original MapleStory (released in 2003), which has been on Steam for years, MapleStory M started as a mobile spinoff. This Steam arrival gives you a way to enjoy its 2D side-scrolling MMO gameplay on a computer without relying solely on your phone or the mobile launcher.
The game remains free to install and play, with optional in-game purchases available once the full version launches on Steam.
