Xolo has made a name selling budget range of devices, which is why it’s a bit popular among certain set of consumers. The Indian manufacturer has tasted success with its Era series, whose last generation models, Xolo Era 1X and Xolo Era 2, sell at Rs. 5,149 and Rs. 4,777 respectively.
Their latest model, Xolo Era 2X comes in two variants, differentiated purely by their 2GB and 3GB RAM. Besides the extra RAM, both devices consist of 16 GB internal memory storage with option for expandable storage upto 32 GB. Now, they are back in stock at Flipkart, and can be yours at a price of Rs. 6,666 (2GB model) and Rs. 7,499 (3GB model).
Furthermore, the device has a 5-inch HD display which in all honesty, provides for a relatively crisp viewing experience. The device also supports a 5-MP front camera which although might not provide you with the best selfie experience but handles video calls fairly well. The primary 8-MP camera does a satisfactory job.
The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and a 2,500mAh battery. The Era 2X is powered by a 1.2GHz MediaTek SoC and comes pre-loaded with some third-party apps (read bloatware) such as UC Browser, Saavn, Hike and My Jio bundle. It would be remiss of us if we fail to mention that the device, even at this price range, includes a fingerprint reader placed at the rear.
Does the latest device by Xolo come with all the bells and whistles? No one expects it to. What one expects is for them to deliver with a device that has a good price-performance ratio and Xolo has delivered that with its Era 2X.
Thinking about buying the device or gifting to someone close to you? Get it before it runs out of stock!
