The release of Android Q is just around the corner. While developers have been trying out the OS’ beta versions — four versions officially released so far — OEMs, too, have started to test out their custom user interfaces on top of Google’s newest Android.
As expected, Chinese smartphone giant, Xiaomi, isn’t behind the curve and has started recruiting beta testers to try out the newest MIUI based on Android Q. Currently, the beta testing invitation is open for Mi 9 users only.
Xiaomi has warned that the beta update is not for users who need their device for daily use, as the update might compromise the stability of their device.
Testers have already encountered some bugs — reboots after entering one-handed mode, random camera fail errors, and unresponsive volume controls — in the update, which makes it unsuitable for casual users.
