Redmi Note 4 had been a success in China, and it was sold out pretty quickly when it wen ton launch in India. It seems many Indians were eagerly looking forward to Redmi Note 4’s launch, so much that it seems it has taken Indian smartphone segment by storm, as Xiaomi’s official website mi.com has registered a whopping 5 million unique visitors checking out the newly launched Redmi Note 4.

This was revealed in a tweet from Xiaomi’s India head, Manu Kumar Jain. Xiaomi lifted the curtains off the Redmi Note 4 on Jan 19 at an official event in New Delhi. The phone budget-smartphone will go on sale on 23rd January at 12PM exclusively on Flipkart and mi.com/in priced at Rs 9,999.

Just to recall, Redmi Note 4 sports a 5.5 inch full HD display with 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood it packs in Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC clocked at 2GHz.

Storage wise it has three variants- 2GB/32GB, 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB and runs MIUI 8 on top of Android Marshmallow. A Xiaomi Nougat update is in plans for the device, BTW, but we guess you have a Android 7.1.1 based build available already thanks to Lineage OS custom ROM.

The Redmi Note 4 packs in 4100mAh battery. Camera wise, it has 13MP/5MP camera combo, and houses the fingerprint sensor at the rear which doubles as a selfie shutter.

The Redmi Note 4 could release soon in Indonesia too, while its upgraded variant dubbed as Redmi Note 4X is in the plans too.
