The phablet Mi Max 2 has now hit the online store DirectD in Malaysia. The device has been given a price tag of RM 1499, which is $350 approx. Xiaomi has indeed put together a very attractive smartphone with the Mi Max 2.
The Mi Max 2 still retains the large 6.44-inch display from its predecessor followed by an extra-large 5300mAh battery, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of on board storage. The processor on the other hand has taken a turn to the power efficient Snapdragon 625 SoC as compared to the the more powerful Snapdragon 650 chipset on the Mi Max.
Adding to the good stuff, the Mi Max 2 ships with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. This is a step in the right direction for Xiaomi, which has left many of its mid-rangers stuck on Marshmallow and even Lollipop. The device also comes in a 128GB variant.
