While everyone is waiting for the launch of Mi Mix 2 scheduled to release on September 11, rumors have started pouring in regarding another flagship device Xiaomi Mi 7.

Traditionally, the Xiaomi Mi devices launch somewhere in March-April, however, according to a Weibo user, Mi 7 may say hi to us in January or February itself. Interestingly, going by the rumors, Mi 7 isn’t the only device that will arrive earlier next year, even Samsung Galaxy S9 and LG G7 are rumored to debut earlier in 2018.

Further, according to the same Weibo user, Xiaomi Mi 7 will feature the Snapdragon 845 chipset (unannounced), which is the successor of the current most powerful chipset, the Snapdragon 835. The leak also suggests the flagship device will feature a 6-inch OLED display from Samsung.

However, considering that almost all Mi series devices have featured 5-inch display till date, chances of Mi 7 sporting a huge 6-inch display look thin. But, going by latest trend of full-screen display, Mi 7 could feature 6-inch display too.

Other rumored specifications include a dual rear camera and two variants of 6GB RAM/8GB RAM. About fingerprint sensor, we are currently not sure about its position. Since it could be a full-screen phone, there won’t be a front fingerprint sensor but there are chances of under the display fingerprint sensor.
