Xiaomi Mi 4i, a capable mid range smartphone launched initially in the Indian market for a price of Rs 12,999 is now confirmed to hit the Malaysian market in the next week. The information was confirmed as Xiaomi’s Head of Product, Donovan Sung along with other members is scheduled to show a media preview of the Mi 4i on May 21 in Malaysia.

As now, there is no word on when exactly the Mi 4i will be released in Malaysia or on the possible pricing of the device. Considering its price in the other markets, the device is likely to carry a price of RM750 in Malaysia.

The Mi 4i a mid range variant of the Mi 4 and it is powered by the second generation 64 bit octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor teamed up with 2 GB of RAM. The device sports a 5 inch Full HD 1080p display that is a fully laminated OGS Corning Concore panel.

The Mi 4i packs 16 GB of non-expandable native storage space and features a 13 MP main snapper with f/2.0 aperture and two-tone flash and a 5 MP front facing selfie snapper with a wide angle lens.

Software wise, the Xiaomi smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop topped with MIUI 6 custom ROM from the firm. The device is energized by a 3,120 mAh battery that can render a decent backup to it.
