Chinese giant Xiaomi, after seeing its success with the Mi 3, branched out their next flagship one of which a variant was the Mi 4c. The Mi 4c featured 3GB of RAM, Snapdragon 808, a 5-inch 1080p display and a modest 3080mAh battery to boot. The Mi 4c was also one of the first few smartphones to include the USB type C port.
Xiaomi isn’t that great for its updates, with older products receiving MIUI updates before newer ones much to the frustration of Mi fans worldwide. Now that Lineage OS 14.1 is out unofficially, you will be able to experience the latest that Android has to offer without having to rely on Xiaomi’s highly delayed update schedules.
Being unofficial, the custom ROM may come with a few bugs which can be mildly annoying but isn’t really a hindrance. These bugs should be ironed out over the course of a few weeks time with upcoming updates.
The official release should be out pretty soon once the Lineage team have fully completed the transition from CyanogenMod to Lineage OS.
