The beauty of owning Android One phones is that you’ll be among the first to receive every other software update, whether major or minor. While we cannot confirm what Xiaomi is lining up in the new Mi A2 beta testing program, one thing that remains a high possibility is the inclusion of the first Android Pie beta update.
The Chinese company has opened up registrations into the beta program for Xiaomi Mi A2 users, with the registration period here until August 31st. Those who will have merited will be informed by the second day of next month via the Mi Community, after which they will be granted access to special OTA updates as well as a special user group – the Mi A2 Beta Tester.

At this point in time, we cannot think of anything that Xiaomi will include in the beta program other than Android Pie beta. The company is already running a similar program for the Mi MIX 2S, so it doesn’t surprise us that the Mi A2 is also getting ready to join the party, but unlike the latter device that runs a clean version of Android, the former has MIUI 10 on top of Pie.

It appears that this beta program is targeting those in India as one of the requirements is that you should be an active member of the Mi Community, India. Your ranking in the community should also be at least at “Advanced Bunny” and having a Telegram User ID is also a must. You can find the full requirements and the application form in the source link below.
It’s worth noting that this beta program is limited to Mi A2 users, so don’t even think about registering your Mi A2 Lite into the program.
