When we look at the mobile gaming industry, there’s a lot there. Especially now when high-end PC games are being ported over for the Android and iOS systems. Tech companies have obviously seen this demand for a better, sleeker gaming device that fits into your pocket and also doubles up as a phone.
With the Razer Phone 2 and Asus ROG phone, gaming on the mobile has gained the extra hardware it always deserved, and now the gaming phones are becoming more than a trend. These, however, come at a very steep price as the duo is valued in the regions of $1000. Sure they have the tech, but is that price really worth it?
Moving on, these aren’t the only two competing in the market, as Xiaomi is all set to begin selling the Black Shark Helo — to be entirely honest, that’s a killer sounding name.
The Black Shark Helo is supposed to hit the shelves on the 10th of November but the device went on sale on the Xiaomi Mi online store a little earlier than expected. Of course, the page has been taken down now, which confirms that the listing was an error and that the device still remains unavailable for purchase.
Xiaomi hasn’t revealed when the global launch of the device will take place, and whether it will, ever. But considering the vast demand for their phones, we doubt they will only stick to their native market.
The Black Shark Helo is expected to be priced over $400 and it has two listed versions; one with 6GB of RAM and the other with 8GB of RAM. The models will have an internal memory of 128GB. The special ‘Sports Edition‘ comes with a whopping 10GB of RAM with internal memory spiking up to 256GB. This is set to release in early December 2018.
Memory isn’t the only thing Xiaomi have put their money on. The phone boasts a dual pipe liquid cooling system for those intense game sessions, the best from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 845 processor, and a gigantic 4000mAh battery that can be fast charged using Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Unfortunately, there is no 3.5mm audio jack.
Getting those chicken dinners at 60FPS could never be better. But we can’t really say that can we?
