As we recently reported, Xiaomi is gearing up to release the Android Pie open beta for the POCO F1 model.
The company said it wouldn’t be long before that happened, and today we’re finally given a more definitive date. As customary, Xiaomi has taken to the MIUI forum to share the latest feedback regarding software developments for the POCO F1.
The biggest news is that the Android Pie open beta for the Poco F1 will be released in December. The developers at Xiaomi are running the final tests, as we speak. A limited roll out is underway, but if everything goes well we can expect a stable release as soon as January.
The latest blog post also reveals that a fix for the touch lag and wrong touch issues will also be released soon. Although it’s not specifically mentioned when.
On top of that, Xiaomi says it’s working on a solution for the “OK Google” bug which prevents the functionality from working in some scenarios.

Development of the feature that will allow full-screen mode with hidden notch for some apps is still ongoing, and the same goes for the option that will allow third-party apps to use full-screen display more efficiently.
Those with the MIUI 10 Global 8.10.17 beta installed can also try out the status bar notifications app icons display option. You can turn on the feat by going to Settings>Notifications & Status bar>Show icons for incoming notifications.
