Wuthering Waves Urban Legend: The Anonymous Inviter Quest, Locations, and Rewards

The Anonymous Inviter is a series of sub-quests that are part of the Urban Legend side quest series in Wuthering Waves. The Anonymous Inviter is a mystery-themed investigation that centers around Startorch Academy (and nearby regions). Here's everything you need to know to complete it, including its location, how to start, the walkthrough, and its rewards.

Urban Legend: Anonymous Inviter Location and How to start

To be able to start the Anonymous Inviter, you'll need to first complete Chapter 3 Act 1 – What Burns Beneath Frostlands in the main story, then open the WavesLine app and look for a message from a student named Mayo.

Replying to her message will start the Urban Legend: The Anonymous Inviter questline, which includes five smaller quests. These are:

• The Tale Teller
• No-Escape Classroom
• Train to Who Knows Where
• The Rogue Constructor
• Lost in the Fog Tunnel

Then head to the quest marker and speak with Mayo to begin the quest.

Follow the guide below to complete all the sub-quests of Urban Legend: Anonymous Inviter.

The Tale Teller

Objective 1: Speak with the Rambling Girl at midnight

Travel to Startorch Academy, head to the garden where students usually gather, wait until the in-game time reaches 24:00 (midnight), then approach the group of students near the Rambling Girl to trigger the cutscene.

Objective 2: Fast-forward time

Fast-forward the time and make sure it’s set to 12:00 and speak with the Trembling Girl near the garden with 2 other students.

Objective 3: Investigate the item

Head to the bushes directly in front of you, between the two square-shaped boulders, and investigate the item on the grass to complete the quest. If you can’t interact with it, make sure the “Investigate the grass” objective is actively selected in your quest list.

No-Escape Classroom

Objective 1: Go to the classroom Mayo mentioned at night

Travel to Startorch Academy using the Resonance Beacon at the crossroads. Go to the Teaching Zone. Make sure the time is between 20:00-6:00 hrs.

Go to the classroom Mayo mentioned (down the corridor and to the right).

Objective 2: Try leaving the classroom directly

Try to leave through the door. You'll find yourself returning to the classroom again. Talk to the "ghost" in thee classroom (behind the desk).

Objective 3: Choose from 3 items

The ghost (named Shion) will want you to get 3 items before you can leave. For the first trial, choose the skull-shaped doll. It'll be to the left of the classroom. Then return to Shion.

Next, from the available items, choose Pasta. Then return to Shion again.

The final item to choose is the Keyboard. Then talk to Shion.

Objective 4: Contact Mayo and tell her the truth of the classroom

After Shion lets you leave, make the call to Mayo.

This sub-quest will end and you'll gain a Basic Supply Chest:

• Astrite - x5
• Shell Credit - x2000
• Basic Resonance - x2

Train to Who Knows Where

Objective 1: Go to Fangspire Chasm Station

Travel to Fangspire Chasm Station and contact Mayo once there (happens automatically).

Objective 2: Wait for the 'Midnight Train'

Go to the marker to wait for the 'Midnight Train'. Once it does, get on your bike and chase after it.

You'll eventually go through a portal. Inside, take a photo of the shocking moment for Mayo.

Objective 3: Defeat the 'monsters'

The trains will encircle you and create an arena. Here, you'll have to defeat the monsters. The second wave will have a Reactor Husk monster as well.

For the sub-quest, you get the following rewards:

• Shell Credit: x2000
• Basic Energy Core: x1

The Rogue Constructor

Objective 1: Check the WavesLine Message from Mayo

As you track this sub-quest, you'll be taken to the WavesLine Message from Mayo.

Objective 2: Head to the Collapsed Ravine on a rainy night

Make your way to the collapsed ravine. It will rain automatically as you get there.

On the hill, cut off the power of the Rogue Constructor and shut it down.

However, there won't be any power in the first place. After contacting Mayo, you'll have to race against the ghost motorbike.

Objective 3: Race against the 'Ghost Motorbike'

Interact with the Rogue Constructor again to Start the challenge.

The race is quite straightforward. Just get past the finish line first.

Objective 4: Read the Data in the Storage Module

After the race, inspect the storage module at the rogue constructor.

This will mark the end of this sub-quest. Claim your rewards from the basic supply chest:

• Astrite: x5
• Shell Credit: x2000
• Basic Energy Core: x1

Lost in the Fog Tunnel

Objective 1: Go see what they're talking about

For this subquest, go to Rebirth Uplands near the Golden Spiral and make your way to the marked location.

Then sit and wait for nightfall.

Objective 2: Survey surroundings and check the figure that looks like Mayo

At nightfall, a street lamp will figure and you'll be visited by a figure that looks like Mayo. Go up to her.

She'll disappear and you'll have to find her again. Look for another flickering lamp (take a right, up the road and to the left).

Then up the road to the right.

Then up the road and to the left.

Objective 3: Escape the pursuit of the paranormal on your motorbike

Go straight down the road. The ghost will chase you. Escape from it.

Then go to the safe spot and contact Mayo.

After talking to her, claim your basic supply chest:

• Astrite: x5
• Shell Credit: x2000
• Basic Resonance: x2

Having collected the evidence, wait for Mayo to contact you. You can speed this up by changing the time.

Then check your WavesLine message from Mayo.

Finally, return to the place where you first met Mayo. Use the Resonance Beacon and get to the Startorch Academy square. Join the Paranormal Fan Club members in their discussion.

After a brief discussion, this side-quest series will come to an end.
