The "With a Trace" quest is an early mission in ARC Raiders that tasks you with investigating downed ARC machines scattered across the Blue Gate region. The main goal is to discover evidence of who caused their destruction by exploring wreck sites and interacting with objects.

With a Trace: Step-by-step guide

Step 1

Travel to the huge ARC machine wreck site in the southeastern Broken Earth area.

Step 2

Move to the northwest side of the wreckage and look for a small gray metal sphere on the ground near the debris. Interact with the small metal sphere to collect evidence. This will mark the first objective as complete, allowing you to progress.

Step 3

Once the sphere is scanned, the next task is to inspect the "Adorned Wreckage," a location south of Barren Clearing, near Trapper’s Glade. Open your map and locate the point of interest named "Adorned Wreckage."

Step 4

Go to this wreck site, which looks like a large decorated rocket-like structure.

Step 5

Find the small yellow computer terminal beside the large decorated rocket-like structure and interact with it. Interacting with this device completes q.

After extracting safely, claim your rewards from quests tab.

Tips

  • Make sure the first sphere is the small metal ball just northwest of the ARC wreck. Other debris won’t advance the quest.
  • Don't confuse the "Adorned Wreckage" with other graffiti-covered wrecks nearby; use the map's named locations.
  • The communications device is a yellow computer on a table near the Antenna at Adorned Wreckage and will glow when nearby with the quest active.
  • Clearing enemies in the area before interacting with objects can make the quest easier and safer.
  • You may want to bring smoke grenades for cover since ARC enemies patrol the site.

Following these steps will allow you to complete "With a Trace" smoothly, earning you experience points and potentially useful gear along the way. This quest serves as a good introduction to exploration and evidence collection mechanics in ARC Raiders.
