What to know
Cairn launched on PS5 and Windows on January 29, 2026.
There’s no official PS Plus inclusion announced.
Current PS Plus monthly games don’t include Cairn.
You can buy Cairn normally on the PlayStation Store today.
If you’re following Cairn’s release and hoping it’ll drop on PlayStation Plus, here’s the latest information as of early February 2026 so you know what to expect.
Cairn just came out. The climbing survival adventure from The Game Bakers launched on January 29, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC. It lets you control Aava as she climbs the unforgiving Mount Kami, managing resources and choosing each move carefully. Reviews so far are positive, praising its tactical and immersive climbing mechanics.
While Cairn is available on the PlayStation Store and even has a small discount for PS Plus subscribers until mid-February, that’s just a purchase discount — not the game being offered as a free or included title through any PS Plus tier.
PS Plus has a monthly free games lineup, but the current February 2026 titles do not include Cairn. Titles like Undisputed, Subnautica: Below Zero, Ultros, and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown are being offered instead. As of now, Sony hasn’t added Cairn to either the Games with PS Plus monthly rotation or the broader Extra/Premium catalog.

Subscription services like PS Plus often add games months or even years after release — especially indies — but nothing official has been announced for Cairn yet. That means if you want to play it on PS5 today, you’ll need to buy it from the PlayStation Store just like any standalone game.
You might still see Cairn get a PS Plus inclusion later in its lifecycle, but until Sony or The Game Bakers makes a statement, there’s no confirmed plan for that to happen.
