The quest starts in Qinghe, in the Desolate Woods, close to Moonveil Mountain and the Wraith Village.

Here is a walkthrough to help you complete the Unknown Mysterious Colossus quest.

Step 1

Enter the area near the Mysterious Colossus.

Step 2

Investigate; mimic the poses of statues to trigger a mystical deer shadow event.

Step 3

This will unlock Wind Sense, you can use this talent later in the game as well.

Step 4

Unlock and use Wind Sense skill.

Step 5

Use the Wind Sense to track the fleeting deer shadow.

Step 6

Follow the tracks and you will reach the other side, you will see two worshippers who gets frightened as you approach them.

Step 7

Unlock Meridian Touch, another talent which will help you in the game.

Step 8

Immobilize the two worshippers using Meridian Touch ; this will freeze them in place.

Step 9

Interact with the middle statue; this will open the door.

Step 10

Proceed into the cave and continue moving forward. Dive deeper into the cave, but beware, as the cave has toxic water that can kill you.

Step 11

You will encounter the glorious sleeping puppet; defeat him to move forward.

Step 12

As you reach the end, you will hear a singing voice; find its source.

Step 13

You will have to investigate the secrets of the stone coffin, but as you get closer to investigate, the song becomes violent to listen to.

Step 14

On completing the investigation you will have to find three deer shadows. The first shadow is near Water's Edge.

Step 15

You will find the second deer shadow in Drum's Top. Follow the marker.

Step 16

To find the last one, you will have to go through a dark path covered in vines, use Glow of Fireflies to light the way.

Step 17

The last deer shadow will be in Vine's Depths.

Step 18

Once you have found all three deer shadows, return back to the secret coffin to investigate.

You will be dragged inside the coffin. As you go down you will encounter a swarm of enemies.

Step 20

Now, you will have to find your way out. You might encounter a deer head, which is the construction zone. Collect materials and return here.

Step 21

Collect items for construction by purifying the deer.

Step 22

Once you have all the materials, go back to the deer head and start the construction. After you have finished, the door will open to a way out.

Step 23

On entering through the door, you will encounter the final boss, the Void King.

Step 24

Defeat the Void King and the door back to your realm will open for you.

Step 25

Uncover the final story cutscene, and it will unlock the Gleaming Abyss campaign and complete the Unknown Mysterious Colossus quest.

Tips for defeating the Void King in Where Winds Meet

• Staying close to the Void King limits his ranged attacks and opens more parry opportunities.​​
• Timing perfect parries will instantly exhaust his Qi bar and stagger him.
• Always dodge the Ice Storm move rather try to parry and hit perfect shots.
