Gift of Gab mechanic explained
Gift of Gab in Where Winds Meet is the game's verbal duel system, where you win encounters by choosing the right dialogue counters to outwit opponents in strategic rhetorical battles.
Each time you play a card, it consumes Inspiration. The amount required is shown in the top-left corner of the card while your total Inspiration is shown in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Each card deals damage to your opponent’s Mental Focus, which is displayed at the top-center of the screen as a Focus Bar.
You can press Rebut to counter the opponent’s card, triggering a Rebuttal that deals 150% damage along with additional status effects. You’ll also be given three Rebuttal options to choose from. Press RT to Rebut on controller, or Alt if you’re using a keyboard.
