Shadows in Bloom quest locations

The Shadows in Bloom quest begins in Kaifeng City of the Kaifeng Region. This quest unlocks only after you have progressed into Kaifeng from Chapter 1.

You navigate your way to Velvet shade and then to the Revelry Hall and at last the Nimbus Tower to meet Qin Ruolan.

Here is how you can complete the Shadow in Bloom quest of Where Winds Meet:

Step 1: Visit the Revelry Hall Manager

Reach the Velvet Shade and find your way to the Revelry Hall Manager. Speak with the steward and attempt to infiltrate the gathering by posing as the Musician.

Step 2: Talk to Bai Rong about tuning and notes

Rong asks you to tune her instrument. Being disguised as a Jiang Yi, you will be prompted to complete a mini-puzzle for Bai Rong.

Step 3: Complete the Tuning puzzle

To complete the puzzle, follow Songtress Rong's exact melody and play it on the gong. Correspond to each note carefully with the correct order - SO LA DO MI RE

Step 4: Make your way to Heroic Assembly

After completing the puzzle, Rong gifts you her boat to go to the Heroic assembly and this makes way to inflitrate the gathering.

Step 5: Reach the Revelry Hall

Take the boat and it will trigger a cutscene, and you reach the Revelry Hall.

Step 6: Finding 7 Clues in Heroic Assembly Hall

All seven clues are located in the Revelry Hall or the Heroic Assembly Hall. Here is how you can get each clue:

Speak to Liu Rui near the central staircase, ground floor
Win the Pitch Pot game against Hua Jieyu on the ground floor
Defeat Ling Yuming in a rhythm mini-game on the ground floor
On the second floor, defeat Jia Wenqu in a Gift of Gab debate
Use the Heavenly Snatch skill to pickpocket Fu Rong’s guest list
On the third floor, dance with Wen Zixuan
On the third floor, eavesdrop on Ouyang Binbin and Ren Jiayu or speak with them directly

Step 8: Piece together all clues

After getting all the clues, put them together to find intel on Jiangnan Convoy and Qin Ruolan, and get her location.

Step 9: Find Nimbus Tower

Make your way to the Nimbus Tower and find Jiangnan Envoy

Step 10: Follow the song

Follow the song and reach the second floor of the Nimbus Tower. Enter the chamber of the second floor.

Step 11: Repel the attacker

Inside the chamber you may find one or two hostiles, repel and defend to their attacks and defeat them.

Step 10: Find the Yin Inscribed booklet

Upon defeating the hostile, you will find out that they are a part of the Jiangnan Envoy and to secure Aunt Han, find the booklet and destroy it. You will find this booklet in a chest kept near the balcony, below the blue fan.

Step 12: Destroy the booklet

Follow the incense and find a way to incinerate the Yin Inscribed booklet by throwing it into the fire. This assures safety of the Faceless Ones and Aunt Han.

Step 13: Meeting the Ruolan

After destroying the booklet, you go dizzy and it triggers a cutscene. You wake up to a woman standing nearby.

Step 14: Talk with Ruolan

Talk to the Nimbus Tower Master Qin Ruolan and ensure your visit to Heroic Assembly.

Step 15: Watch fireworks with Qin Ruolan

Complete the quest by watching fireworks with Qin and then bidding her farewell.
