What to know
- The Natural graphics setting appears greyed out in the game's graphics menu and cannot be selected by players at this time.
- It exists alongside available presets like Performance, Balanced, Quality, and Ultra but remains locked with no official unlock method.
- The setting likely relates to the unreleased Ultimate Package, which promises enhanced textures and graphics quality beyond current options.
- Players can currently choose between Lite Package (68 GB) and Standard Package (110 GB), with the Ultimate Package still in development.
If you see the 'Natural' graphics setting in Where Winds Meet greyed out, you're not alone. It sits at the top of the quality presets list, but is currently inaccessible by design. But before we proceed with why it's not available (or when it will be available), it's important to understand the different installation packages of the game.
Available download packages for Where Winds Meet
Where Winds Meet currently ships with two available packages. These are:
- The Lite Package (also called Quick Package) requires 68 GB of storage and features lowered texture quality optimized for performance on less powerful systems.
- The Standard Package needs 110 GB and delivers standard settings and quality—this is what Steam users receive by default.
There's also a third option - the Ultimate Package - but it remains unavailable at launch. This package will presumably offer the highest quality textures and visual enhancements, potentially including 4K or even 8K resolution assets.

This where the Natural graphics preset comes in.
Why is the Natural graphics preset unavailable?
The Natural graphics preset - currently marked 'Not Available' - will presumably become accessible only after the Ultimate Package releases, functioning as the highest quality tier designed specifically for that enhanced content package.

However, even without the 'Natural' graphics preset, players have comprehensive control over their visual experience through the existing settings.
The graphics quality presets that work right now include Performance for maximum frame rates on lower-end hardware, Balanced for a middle-ground approach, Quality for enhanced visuals with moderate performance requirements, Ultra for the highest currently available settings, and Custom which allows manual adjustment of individual settings.
Why Steam users can't select Where Winds Meet game packages
Unlike the official installer, Steam doesn't allow separate builds for a single game. When installing the game, it automatically downloads the Standard Package.

While the Ultimate game package (visible while installing the game from the official launcher - downloadable from the official website) is a teaser of sorts, there is no official confirmation on when it will be made available. By all accounts, it's still a Work in Progress.
