A Study in Slacking Location & How to start
To trigger A Study in Slacking encounter quest, you must complete the Correspondent: Eastern Herald exploration quest first.
Once completed, fast-forward the time by two days and set it to the Mao hour.
Teleport to the East Cross Street boundary stone, then head straight in the marked direction to begin the Encounter quest.

A Study in Slacking Walkthrough
Follow the steps below to complete A Study in Slacking encounter quest in Where Winds Meet:
Objective 1: Speak with Ge Mang
After triggering the Encounter quest, speak with Ge Mang standing in front of Mo Yuwang. If he isn’t there, change the time to Mao or Shen.
Objective 2: Speak with Zhen Yu
Follow the quest marker to the Nine Mortal Ways Umbrella Headquarters, where you’ll find Zhen Yu standing in front of a queue.
Objective 3: Make a portrait of the slacker
Speak with Ge Mang, then make a portrait for the slacker to proceed.

Objective 4: Head to the next quest area
Follow the quest marker to the next quest area and speak with Ge Mang beside the wrestling ring to continue.
Objective 5: Interact with the 3 NPCs marked in the area
After speaking with Ge Mang, talk to the three marked NPCs in the area: Wu Gua, He Xiaocheng, and Ling Tian.

Objective 6: Climb onto the roof and make a portrait for the slacker
Speak with Ge Mang again, then climb onto the roof and talk to Ma Lou sitting there. Afterward, make a portrait of him for the slacker.

Objective 7: Head to the next slack off place
After reaching the next quest area, speak with Jia Gongze to find out what’s going on. Afterwards, use Celestial Seize to steal the Young Justice Bun by Detective Tee item from him.

Objective 8: Expose Jia Gongze then make a portrait for the slacker
After stealing the book, speak with Jia Gongze to expose him, then make a portrait of him for the slacker.

Objective 9: Speak with Ge Mang then head to Mo Yuwang
After making the final portrait for the slacker, speak with Ge Mang, then head back to Mo Yuwang near the East Cross Street boundary stone.

Objective 10: Eavesdrop on the conversation between Mo Yuwang and Xie Dai
Head to the marked spot to eavesdrop on the conversation between Mo Yuwang and Xie Dai.
Objective 11: Submit the portraits to Mo Yuwang
Speak with Mo Yuwang and give him the three portraits to complete the quest and receive your rewards.
