In Where Winds Meet, Blinding Charge refers to the aggressive, high-risk, high-reward playstyle of the Infernal Twinblades. While the skill itself is a powerful mobility tool, its true potential is unlocked when paired with specific "Inner Ways" that allow you to turn your character into a relentless whirlwind of steel.

Because translations can vary, you may see this skill referred to as Addled Mind in your menu, but the mechanics remain identical.

What is Blinding Charge?

Blinding Charge is the default Martial Art Skill (often bound to the 'Q' key, depending on your settings) for the Infernal Twinblades. When activated, your character spins dual blades and dashes forward, cutting through enemies in your path.

It serves two main purposes:

  1. Mobility: It instantly closes the distance between you and a target, which is critical for the short-range Twinblades.
  2. Damage & Stacking: It deals multi-hit damage, which helps build up your Karmic Flame gauge—the unique resource needed to enter the Twinblades' "Wrathful Form."

How to Unlock 'Blinding Charge'?

Because Blinding Charge is a weapon-specific skill. You do not unlock it individually. Instead, you must unlock the Infernal Twinblades martial art style. Once you equip this weapon, the skill appears on your bar automatically.

Innerways

The "Innerways" system is what breaks this skill's limits. The specific Inner Way you need is Echoes of Oblivion. It is a Legendary Inner Way belonging to the Bamboocut - Wind path. It is designed specifically to synergize with the Infernal Twinblades.

At Tier 6 (Breakthrough level), Echoes of Oblivion gains a game-changing effect:

  • Effect: Hitting a target 8 times within 2 seconds resets the cooldown of Blinding Charge (Addled Mind).
  • Result: Since Twinblades attack incredibly fast, you can trigger this effect constantly (once every 10 seconds), allowing you to dash, attack rapidly, and dash again almost immediately.

How to Unlock Echoes of Oblivion

To get the Inner Way that buffs your charge, you must progress through the main campaign.

Step 1: Progress the Main Story

Continue playing the main scenario quests in the Qinghe region. You specifically need to reach Chapter 1.

Step 2: Complete "For Whom Does He Return"

Locate and complete the main story quest titled "For Whom Does He Return'". This quest typically becomes available after the major conflict with the Witch/Queen character.

Step 3: Claim Your Reward

Upon completing the quest, you will receive the Echoes of Oblivion tome. Open your inventory and use it to learn the Inner Way.

Unlocking Blinding Charge is just the first step. By obtaining the Infernal Twinblades from the Midnight Mercy Sanctum and pairing them with the Echoes of Oblivion Inner Way from the main story, you transform a simple dash skill into a devastating, resettable combat loop. Keep your combo count high, watch your cooldowns reset, and stay aggressive to get the most out of this lethal technique.
