Word was going around that Samsung has increased the prices for the processors they produce for Apple by 20%, making people think that Samsung was finally hitting Apple back because of all the patent disputes the two manufacturers are embroiled in. However, an unnamed Samsung official who spoke to the Korean newspaper The Hankyoreh, has reportedly denied the rumors.

According to the official, prices for manufacturing the processors are decided on at the start of each year, and it is not so easy to simply make changes to those prices at any time of the year. So while we may see Samsung do something evil next year, for now it seems both companies remain firm friends when it comes to the semiconductor assembly business of the South Korean giant.

Well, there go our conspiracy theories down the drain.
