Soon you will be able to share your Instagram stories as a status on WhatsApp. Facebook, who owns both Instagram and WhatsApp, is currently testing a new feature that will allow users to post their Instagram stories on WhatsApp as their status.
WhatsApp status stories are encrypted, so once you post your Instagram story on WhatsApp, that gets encrypted as well. As of now, the feature is only available to a small group of people, and that’s usually how these things happen.
How to Verify Authentic Brands in WhatsApp
Users who are seeing this feature have access to a Share to WhatsApp option on their Instagram Stories. After sharing, the user still has to press the Send button on WhatsApp to make it their story. Still, it makes things a lot easier for the users. Normally, you would have to take the same photos or videos twice or load it up from the phone gallery.
As per the report from TechCrunch, Facebook is bringing this new feature to Instagram for three reasons. First, they would want the Instagram Stories to be more functional by giving it more usage. Second, Facebook probably wants users to engage with WhatsApp more and use the Stories option. Third, the company wants you to use all their products even more.
We will let you know when this feature is rolling out officially. As of now, it is only available for a few users. Would you want to share your Instagram Stories on WhatsApp?
