Vivo Y66 launched in Malaysia with RM 999 price tag

The recently announced Vivo Y66 smartphone is now available for purchase in Malaysia. This budget smartphone will be sold for RM 999, which is around $225.

Vivo Y66 is the successor to Y55 and features an all metal body with improved hardware specs. It comes with a 5.5-inch 720p display, a Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 16MP front camera with flash.

The company also recently launched the Vivo V5 Plus in Malaysia, which is said to be even more focused on selfies. The V5 Plus has a dual camera setup in the front, with one 20MP camera and another 8MP one. Looks like the company is all about the selfie generation.

The Y66 smartphone will be available with FunTouch OS 3.0 on board, which is based on Marshmallow. We recently told you that some of the Vivo smartphones will be updated to Marshmallow as part of FunTouch OS 3.0 release, starting March 7th.
