Vivo may not be as popular as Xiaomi and other Chinese manufacturers are but we have to admit that the company produces some really innovative devices with great design. We covered the Vivo Xshot X710 earlier today which just launched in India, the device’s camera has an aperture of f/1.8, something that no other smartphone has. The company is also known for making some of the world’s thinnest smartphone in the past few years.

The latest device from Vivo’s labs is the Vivo Y29, which runs on a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with a design very similar to that of Sony Xperia Z series. The device has a full glass back and is housed under a colored aluminium frame much like the Sony Xperia Z3.

Vivo Y29 specs include a 5-inch 720p display, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage and 13MP/5MP camera setup. It’s not yet confirmed if the device has an expandable Micro SD Card slot. Also, like most of recent Vivo devices, the Vivo Y29 also features Japanese AKM AK4375 embedded audio chip to give you a Hi-Fi music experience.

Vivo Y29 price and release date aren’t confirmed yet. But given the premium looks of the device, our folks over at GizmoChina expects it to be pricey.
