The Vivo X9S is set to arrive as the successor to the X9 that was released about half a year back. From the looks of it, not much has changed over the design of the original X9. Now that the device ha s cleared certification agencies, we can expect it to be launched pretty soon.
The smartphone sports antenna lines on the back, a feature which has now become a regular in most Chinese OEMs. The profile of X9S stays relatively thin too with the camera module protruding out by just a bit.
The front of the X9S shows off moderate bezels and an oval fingerprint scanner down at the bottom. Unlike the competition, Vivo has decided to keep the main camera on-board the X9S traditional, as you find a single sensor there unlike the dual-camera setup that’s becoming more prevalent now a days (we’re looking at you, OnePlus 5). But on coming to the front camera, the X9S will carry on the tradition of using a dual selfie shooter.
‘Vivo Android 7.1 Nougat update release details’
Unfortunately, we don’t have any word on the specifications of the X9S yet but we can draw some conclusions from the previous gen Vivo X9, which features a 5.5-inch display, 4GB of RAM and is powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset. The RAM and display size may remain the same on the X9S but the processor may get bumped to the Snapdragon 626 SoC. Then again, we are simply speculating here, so take it with a grain of salt.
