Looks like Vivo is planning to release its X9 handset outside China, as we just spotted the device on Indonesia’s certification agency. Vivo is pretty popular in India, so it’s hardly surprising that anticipation for the Vivo X9 in India is pretty good already, while another Vivo set, the V5, is reportedly doing good business too.

The listing goes by the codename of Vivo 1611 handset, but looking at the specs provided, it’s easy to identify the real device being Vivo X9. Naturally, the Vivo X9 release for Europe and Asia looks likely, and close, maybe before mid-January 2017.

You have the 16MP rear camera here, with PDAF, coupled with dual front camera containing 20MP and 8MP sensors. Moreover, you got 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage, all of which are tell-tale signs of ththe Vivo 1611 being nothing else than X9 itself.

There is a mention of 3080mAh battery (against 3050mAh in Chinese Vivo X9 variant), but display remains exactly same at 5.5″ screens size at Full HD resolution. The Vivo X9 comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow pre-installed, and looking at Vivo’s update records, chances of quick Nougat release looks very slim.

It’s unconfirmed whether X9 Plus too will cross the Himalayan borders, but we hope it does, and from the looks of it, it’s very like X9 Plus will be released in Europe and Asia too.

Vivo X9 sells for 2798 yuan in China, so the expected price in India would be around Rs 28-29,000.
