Vivo V11 Pro was announced in India in early September and is already available for purchase in the Asian sub-continent, but Vivo has something else that might interest those who are fond of the waterdrop notch style but see the Pro variant as a bit too costly for them.
In the Vivo V11, you have a phone that treads on the same path as the Pro variant, but to keep the price checked, the Chinese company had to make some sacrifices. The most notable sacrifice is the omission of the in-display fingerprint scanner in favor of a rear-mounted sensor. You are also getting a less-powerful MediaTek Helio P60 processor compared to the Snapdragon 660 used in the V11 Pro as well as a few other tweaks, including a slightly smaller display screen and battery, among others.

As noted, the Vivo V11 is designed to be a cheaper alternative to the V11 Pro and indeed, it slightly undercuts the former’s price of INR 25,990 by asking for INR 22,990, which is about $315. The phone is available through Flipkart, Vivo E-Store and other offline retailers and can be purchased in either Starry Night Black or Nebular Purple.
Given how competitive the Indian smartphone market is when it comes to the budget and midrange segment, it’ll be interesting to see how the Vivo V11 performs against even more powerful yet cheaper options like Xiaomi Poco F1 and Huawei Honor Play, among others.
