Vivo has finally given its official word on when Android 7.1 Nougat update is set to for release, and more importantly, on which devices. Though this is a tad late compared to other OEMs, it’s good to see Vivo wake up to Android 7.1.1 update finally.

The Vivo X9 Plus, which was released back in December last year, is the first of the handful of devices mentioned here to get the 7.1.1 update. What’s more? Well, the beta update is arriving as beta today only. The table update is planned for mid-July release, while the rollout is expected to be finished by mid-August.
The Vivo X9 Plus, X9 and the Xplay6 are slated to receive their updates to Nougat over the air. The rest of lineup shown above will have their ROMs posted in the forums for manual download and flashing.

Coming to the update itself, Funtouch OS 3.1 has now been optimized to carry all the new bells and whistles from Nougat. The update also includes Funtouch OS features that are specific to the look and feel of the skin along with updates to the portfolio of Vivo apps on board the OS.
