Over the last couple of years, we have seen smartphone manufacturers give their all to attain the maximum screen-to-body ratio. From various notches to hole-punch displays, we have seen it all, but no phone in the market has managed to realize the uninterrupted all-glass display, yet.

But now, if renowned leaker Ice Universe’s report is to be believed, Chinese OEM, Vivo, is set to become the first smartphone manufacturer to deliver a “complete-screen” handset.

According to Ice Universe, Vivo’s next flagship — the Vivo Nex 3, will have “no hole” and “no notch,” while the device’s curved sides will grant it a screen-to-body ratio of “over 100 percent.”

Sadly, the report doesn’t reveal how the phone will attain a three-figure screen-to-body ratio and still manage to fit in all the basic hardware. The leak has also claimed the phone to have (or be) a complete screen, which also begs the question, whether the phone will have a second display on the back. And if it does, how and where will Vivo fit the rear camera and flash?

At this point, the leak just pops up more questions than it answers. But one thing is for certain — the Chinese company is cooking something extraordinary in its kitchen.
