Finally, the Vivo X5 is here!! Yes sir, the much talked about device from Vivo has finally made it to the stage. After a whole sackful of rumors that had all pointed towards the X5 pro as something quite fascinating, the company couldn’t release the device early enough for us.
First off, the device is a looker hands down. Coming with dimensions of just 147.9 × 73.45 × 6.44 mm, you get something which is slimmer than most other devices out there.
The dual-sim device features a 1080p Super AMOLED full HD display which along with the back of the device is sheathed in a layer of 2.5D curved glass. Powered by the Snapdragon 615 — which is a bit surprising — the device runs the Android Lollipop layered with the FunTouch 2.1 OS and is backed by 2 GB of RAM.
Camera fans are in for a treat as well as the device brings along a 13 MP rear cam along with a 8 MP front one that comes with interpolating technology, enabling it to snap selfies of up to 32 mega-pixels resolution. There is also a pretty cool iris scanner that means that you can wave goodbye to the hassle of patterns and passwords.
Also, as expected the rumors of the X5 pro sporting a 4150mAh battery turned out to be simply rumors and the device actually packs 2300 mAh of power under its hood — which while nowhere near what we expected, is still not too bad.
The device has been launched in China at a price of CNY 2,698 (approximately Rs. 27,800) and we are still awaiting availability details for other regions.
