OnePlus might be a new kid on the block but has garnered enough fan base and dedicated customers owing to churning out great flagship phones. Samsung, on the other hand is an experienced player with years of experience and expertise. Therefore, when it comes to a battle between the two OEMs with regards to their flagship devices, Samsung does get the upper hand theoretically. But practically it seems OnePlus has the winning streak. Especially in case of charging capacity of OnePlus 5 as compared to Samsung Galaxy S8.

OnePlus has posted two videos that show both the OnePlus 5 and the Galaxy S8 in an all-out battery charge battles in which the former comes out as a clear winner. The Dash Charge technology used by OnePlus for fast charging is duly to be credited for this feat.

The 3300mAh OnePlus 5 battery charges faster than the 3000mAh of Galaxy S8. One of the reasons behind the fast charging ability of Dash Charge tech is that it increases the amps instead of the the voltage when a phone is connected to a power source. This not only results in a faster charging time, but it also generates less heat than other fast charging methods.

The first video shows that OnePlus 5’s battery has a 29-percent charge compared to just 20 percent for the Galaxy S8 after about 15 minutes. After 30 minutes of charging, the OnePlus 5 shows 58-percent battery compared to 39 percent on Galaxy S8.
