Verizon, T-Mobile and Unlocked HTC 10 receive new OTA update, brings October patch

htc 10 software update

HTC is rolling out a new security update for the HTC 10. The unlocked, T-Mobile, and the Verizon variants of the smartphone are getting the update. All of the devices will get the update over-the-air, and it could take some time to reach all users.

The software version for the unlocked HTC 10 is 2.51.617.32, for the Verizon version is 2.41.605.30, and for the T-Mobile variant, it’s 2.51.531.32. Since this is a security update, don’t expect to see any new changes.

The update only installs the October Android security patches, which includes fixes for some Android based bugs and vulnerabilities. If you’ve got an HTC 10, any of the above mentioned variants, and you’ve received the notification, then we urge you to install the update right away.

You can also manually search for the update by heading over to Settings > About > Software Update. HTC has not released the Android Oreo update for any its devices. However, we should see the Oreo update by the end of this month for the HTC U11.
