Despite being entitled to monthly security updates in that it is Motorola’s most premium smartphone, Verizon’s Moto Z2 Force hasn’t been a regular when it comes to software updates. The last time this device was updated was back in mid-June and at the time, the Big Red released the May 2018 security patch.
Verizon is now rolling out this month’s security updates to the Moto Z2 Force. Since there was no June patch, it’s likely that the latest update, which has software version ODXS27.109-34-14, combines security patches for two months, something we’ve seen Verizon doing before with respect to this same device.

It’s an OTA update that Verizon says started rolling out yesterday. Typically, this should take up to a week before all Moto Z2 Force units get the download notification. You can wait, but you can also try forcing the update via your phone’s Settings menu. Whichever suits you.
