Verizon is now seeding new software update for the Google Pixel and the Pixel XL. The update is available as an OTA and brings new features, improvements and bug fixes.

The update improves the performance and connectivity for the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the smartphones. It also improves the voice call performance and installs the latest Android security patch.

According to the change-log, the update also brings a new feature that allows users to back up and restore Google apps such as Calendar, Drive and Messenger. However, these apps are already connected to the cloud and backup automatically, except for Messenger. So we’re not sure what this feature actually does.

Finally, the update fixes a few bugs, such as the missing HD Voice/Wi-Fi Calling options after the last software update. Also, some users were not receiving text messages, which has been fixed in this update.
