The Verizon Moto Z Droid Edition and the Moto Z Force Droid Edition are getting a new software update right now. The update is available over the air and improves performance, adds a new feature, and also installs the latest Android security patch.

The update software version is NCL25.86-11-4-6 and it will improve the default Notification volume level. Verizon has increased the default volume for notifications so it matches the volume level that was available in the original software version.

This is a recommended update and is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Before installing the update, make sure your device has more than 50 percent charge and is connected to a stable WiFi or Cellular network.

That is about all the improvements available in this latest software update. If you haven’t received the notification for the update yet, then head to Settings > About Device > Software Updates to check for it manually.
